VALLEY, Neb., USA — Valmont Irrigation recently released the new Two Wheel Ditch Feed Linear, a lateral move machine that travels back and forth across a field. This product combines the flexibility of the Valley Two Wheel Linear hose drag cart with a ditch feed option.
The Valley Two Wheel Ditch Feed Linear is ideal for smaller fields, but it can be towed to other areas or manually swung around to irrigate more hectares. This linear takes advantage of permanent earthen water delivery infrastructures or ditches that are installed annually, which means that growers do not need to secure a new water source. A skid-style, flexible suction will keep the investment low by fitting nearly any functioning earthen ditch. The Two Wheel Ditch Feed Linear can also be easily installed on fields that were previously set up for flood irrigation, with few or no changes to the field required.
“Internationally, one of the target markets for the Valley Two Wheel Ditch Feed Linear is the region where DDA systems (tractors with on-board pumps and top metal structures) were sold in Ukraine and Russia,” comments Ruediger Claas, Valmont Irrigation, Director of Sales and Marketing – Eurasia. “We’re quite pleased to introduce this linear to various markets.”
